I love cabbage and cabbage soup is one of my favorites ways to get my veggies in. If following the THM this could be used for "S" meal, "E" meals or "FP".
1 head of cabbage cut and rinsed
1-2 cans of green bean
1 Large onion
1-2 carrots
3- 8oz can of tomato sauce
water
salt
pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
Sauté chopped onions in your preferred cooking fat (I like to use bacon fat). Once the onions are softened, add cabbage, green beans, carrots, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Pour in enough water to fill the pot halfway. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer until the cabbage is tender. Serve and enjoy!
