Today, I want to talk about the power of encouragement and the importance of taking action.
Receiving encouragement can be incredibly uplifting, especially when we're striving to improve ourselves and make positive changes in our lives.
Another important aspect of personal growth is Consistency. While encouragement gives us the motivation to start, consistency ensures we stay on track. By dedicating even small amounts of time each day to our goals, we create habits that lead to long-term success. It’s the steady, persistent effort over time that turns dreams into reality, proving that small steps can lead to great achievements.
I draw strength and encouragement from God's Word and the people He places in my life. Life is often filled with challenges and trials, yet God always finds a way to uplift us—if we’re willing to let Him. I’ll admit, I can be pretty stubborn—okay, very stubborn at times—but God never gives up on me. No matter how hard-headed I might be, He always finds a way to remind me that I need Him more today than I did yesterday.
That is why it is so important to stay in his word.
Jeremiah 29: 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
"Expected end" means God gives us a future and a hope.
Isn't that beautiful.
Stress has always been a part of my life, but as a widow, I find myself worrying about so many things without the comfort of sharing them with my husband. Yet, through it all, I am deeply thankful for God. He hears my cries, knows my fears, and sees the pain I carry. And just as He sees my struggles, He sees yours too—your needs, your pain, and your fears. You are not alone.
For the past two months, I’ve been on a health journey filled with ups and downs, but every step has been worth it. I’ve seen noticeable improvements in my blood sugar levels, weight, and a significant reduction in inflammation throughout my body.
Movement:
For the past three years, I’ve struggled with muscle issues around my knees, sometimes making it difficult to even stand. Thankfully, I’m doing much better now, praise God, and I’ve decided to embark on a personal walking challenge. Ten miles may not seem like much, but it’s a significant step up from where I was—barely moving unless I absolutely had to. As part of my weight loss journey and to strengthen my knees while improving circulation, I’ve committed to walking. We all have to start somewhere, and this is my starting point: a ten-mile walking challenge to complete by the end of July and throughout August. Let’s do this!
